BLUE MONDAY

We are well into April and apparently it's spring. I feel at the moment it is really hard to dress for this time of year after the recent visit from the Beast from the East. I want to dress weather appropriate but I also want to wear something season appropriate. So I have decided to cover up while adding a pop of colour into the mix. Okay, I know these aren't the usual colours you would wear for spring. Believe me, I am dying to wear pastel pinks and purples! I felt royal blue was a good colour to go to right now. It is a bright version of a darker shade so it matches this miserable weather while being S/S18. Since moving to London, my style has changed to smart 24/7. Don't get me wrong, I love a cosy jumper as much as the next person, but I'm a city girl now and that's the style that surrounds me in this beautiful city.

This blazer is versatile as it can go from day to night so easily. From going for a catch up with the girls or going to an important formal event, this blazer will suit every occasion. The bodysuit is from Carli Bybel's collection with Miss Guided. Carli Bybel was probably the first blogger I followed and is such an inspiration for me from her style to her make up. She is stunning, sophisticated and I wish I could look like her! I was so excited when I found out she was collaborating with Miss Guided and her collection didn't disappoint. The lace detail on the bodysuit is gorgeous and is really comfortable too. Not sure if it is just me, but I do struggle to find bodysuits that are comfortable in certain areas. I matched the bodysuit with a pair of classic black high waisted jeans and old skool Vans regularly seen on the Kardashian sisters. To turn this day look into night, I would swap the Vans for black barely there heels.

WITH LOVE, FROM PARIS

Paris, the city of love. Such a beautiful city with lots to see, and a lot for free if you are under the age of 26. Thankfully we went a couple of months before my 26th birthday. Even on the Euro star, I was classed as a youth at the grand age of 25. We got free entry to things such as museums including the Louvre, however I did have to pay for an adult ticket to visit the Eiffel Tower. But I made it all the way to the top finally after many failed attempts in the past!  It was another busy day with lots of walking, so again I wanted to wear a nice but practical outfit. As you can see from the photos, it wasn't a clear day. Thankfully it didn't rain. I am the type of girl that packs about 37 different outfits for a weekend away. Come rain, snow, sunshine, the apocalypse ... I am prepared! As well as a few 'just in case' outfits.

I love spring style as I am obsessed with pastel colours. You can mix and match with different colours and it will never look over-powering. My faux fur (always faux, never real!) coat is from Depop. It's a great way to sell unwanted clothes and buy ones for a fraction of the original price. You can recycle clothes and save / earn pennies in the process. My mauve knitted body con dress is defiantly the comfiest dress I own. You can wear it both dressy or casual. Due to the vast amount of walking, I of course went for flat shoes. My feet were still recovering from Disney the previous day so there was no chance of me opting for anything else. Finally I added a statement yellow bag to break up all the pinks and purples while sticking to the light colour scheme.

A DISNEY KIND OF DAY

Ah, Disney. The happiest place on Earth. A place where you can forget your troubles, ride rollercoasters until you feel dizzy and eat Mickey Mouse shaped food all day. What more could you want? The one thing I do find slightly difficult is finding the perfect outfit for the trip. You want to wear something Disney (of course), something nice and something you can walk 1000 miles in without your feet hurting . My feet were definitely in pain by the end as we managed to clock up nearly 40,000 steps each. That was according to my phone which was in my bag so I don't know how accurate that was as we could of easily done more.

So first things first, Minnie ears. These ones I did buy from Disneyland in California, however they are available from all of the parks. I chose the lilac ones as purple is my favourite colour but I was still keeping it classic. Primark have such an amazing Disney range at the moment, and best of all, it's so CHEAP. I picked up this top with my life moto on it for just a tenner. For Disney, that's super cheap. The shorts I'm wearing are denim, which were ok but next time I will definitely go for something comfier. Being an adrenaline junkie, I was all about the big rides (and the fireworks at the end of the day). So sitting on all those rides in denim shorts soon became a bit uncomfortable. I finished off the outfit with some American 90s vibes. Calf-high American style socks and some Nike high tops, that remind me of Marty McFly in Back to the Future 2. Unfortantly they didn't tie up themselves ... I thought autolacing shoes we're sooo 2015 Doc?!
