BOO!

Happy Halloween! We had a lot of fun shooting this themed outfit, and then came the task of finding a location to shoot it. So this spooky backdrop was the perfect place, although a little scary at night! Not only that, we got a few funny looks by passers-by with these leggings on.This could be a good look if you were going to a Halloween party but didn't want to look too overdressed. A really simple way of making a big impact, and with these leggings only costing £2, you won't break the bank. So what will you be going as this Halloween?

BRIGHT RED

We couldn't have asked for better weather to shoot this look, crystal blue skies and no rain for once! Living in England is like living inside a rain cloud some days. So after a scout we stumbled into this deserted alley, undisturbed and peaceful from the hustle of our surroundings.

This outfit is very simple and casual yet it can also be used for smart occasions. The red bag creates a bright pop of colour which makes the outfit more exciting without taking the smart look away. This could be used for situations like interviews or meetings. To make this outfit look slightly less smart, simply add a nice flat shoe. These court shoes are my new babies, bordering on obsession. It's safe to say they will be worn a lot!

I KNOW ITS OCTOBER BUT...

October wishlist

By Loren Nichols

... with all the Christmas adverts on the TV, it's hard not to think what I would like Santa to bring me. We all know Christmas is a party season, so what better excuse is there to update your wardrobe. With this selection I feel they can be mixed and matched to create lots of different outfits. I think it is ideal that wardrobes should be able to mix and match as Gok Wan always says 'buy less, wear it more'. So here is a selection I have created all from the Great British high street, starting from £2.97. If you would like to know where each garment is from and their prices, click the pictures below.

FAVOURITE SCENTS

Pretty bottles and gorgeous scents. Every trip to a department store is an excuse to breeze past the perfume counters, testing a different one each time. Currently coveting Manifesto by YSL, its smells delicious; reminding me of Candyfloss and all things sweet. These are a few favourites that are currently in use, with some obvious classics like Chanel and Dior mixed in. Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess is a favourite, with a summery scent in a shimmering bottle, but unfortunately this was a limited edition and changes each year! Choosing a perfume can be very personal, depending on your preferences. Whats your favourite?

EMPTY FIELDS

Crop top - Miss Guided / Necklace - New Look / Skirt - Topshop / Shoes - New Look

First post in the blogging world! Living in a teeny tiny village its hard to find great locations to shoot, but we finally stumbled into this deserted field and got a few shots. The thing about this outfit is that it can be used from day to night. Simply adding heels to this look, such as black ankle boots, can easily change it to an evening look for going out. The necklace adds edge and pulls these simple pieces together.
